It's pretty easy. Or you could use this to say something, I don't bite unless asked to.
Jim Moray - Early One Morning, BBC Radio2 Folk Awards 2004 (via jimmoray)
The scenographic details are hilarious — which was the intent if I understand it correctly. The music is beautiful though, as is the whole Sweet Engand album..
Pentangle - Let No Man Steal Your Thyme (1968)
Ignoring Twitter for roughly three days now and listening to British folk. It’s been liberating in a way. Less of an outsider feeling. (Folk music with a jazz rhythm section? Excellent.)
Metric - Between The Bars (Elliott Smith cover) acoustic
Since I don’t like to reblog without adding anything… I really like this.
Animated Short of the Day: “As long as anyone can remember, the coming of The Undertaker has meant the coming of death. Until one day the grim promise fails and tension builds as the God fearing townsfolk of Backwater wait for someone to die.”
The Backwater Gospel: A Bachelor film project from The Animation Workshop.

Holy shit. Fantastic.
I love this style! (Why can’t I animate?! Watch a making of too. Very impressed with how they used 3D as it felt very 2D animation to me.)
John Darnielle performing a Tiny Desk Concert at the NPR offices.
[… A paragraph about The Life of the World to Come dvd.]
Anyway, here he performs two of my favorites from the most recent record and then one of my most favorite songs of all time. Do watch this. Everybody needs the sort of sideswiping reality check that is John Darnielle’s songwriting prowess.
I have yet to see the Mountain Goats live, but damn, the next time! There is no excuse as the music is almost always excellent. (When not excellent it’s “just” very damn good.)
Lelia Broussard – Satellite. The video doesn’t feature the adoring face paint that’s in her promo images for the album. Still… the music is what’s important.
See! I don’t only like morose we’re-all-gonna-die-songs!
There is only one way to do things, and that is the John Darnielle way.
And the world, in its cold way, started coming alive.
There are several other ways to do things too, but they’re the wrong way. Still possible to go down on though.
Can’t wait for the new album.
Acoustic version of The Greatest Light Is The Greatest Shade
I love this song. That is all.
39 Degrees North: Christmas Card 2010 (by 39 Degrees North)
Nicholas Was, a Neil Gaiman poem that’s been animated.
My brother uploaded a bunch of videos of the last San Jose show we played, if anyone’s interested.
Downright… splendid? (I’m trying to not use “amazing” and “fantastic” so much, which makes this text hard to write.)
Love the look and design. Why can’t there be features that look like this.
I agree 100% about this. Don’t know why there seems to be a fear of heavily stylized look in features. The opening sequence of Kung-Fu Panda is the only recent I can come up with, and that was only the opening.

I guess I have to take responsibility for what I write in this blog, hope I don't make myself look like an ass too often.
