Tom Waits - Everything You Can Think Of Is True (Alice: The Original Demos version)

While Bone Machine is my favourite Tom Waits album, there are times when it’s not appropriate. It is after all a part of the three albums I’d like to lump together under the heading “scary dark twisted stuff” — the other two are Stina Nordenstam’s Dynamite and Scout Niblett’s The Calcination of Scout Niblett.

Today, that’s not the right soundtrack. The Alice demos though, they’re just right. So is some of the older albums, but then again Nighthawks at the Diner always works.
