It's pretty easy. Or you could use this to say something, I don't bite unless asked to.

Theoretical Girl doing a cover on The Fine Arts Showcase’s Heaven To Me. In a way it might have been a mistake to listen to this, in other ways it wasn’t.

The Fine Arts Showcase adn Theoretical Girl — You knew I was trouble from the start

For whitember who hadn’t heard this collaboration. I have a bit of a hard time listening to The Fine Arts Showcase still, but damn they were good.

This is not a post I wanted to make.

I thought about uploading something from The Fine Arts Showcase but somehow this is all I could think of: the first song I heard with Gustaf Kjellvander on vocals. Even if the Fine Arts Showcase is the Swedish band I’ve seen most times live in just a few years, this seems more fitting right now. Always fun, happy and great music from beginning to end. Sadly unknown to most and with a defiance about what you should do — covering 12 Rough Bunnies songs as a follow-up to a single that I think had quite a bit air time. Jokingly but with quite a bit of seriousness when asked “whom?” my stock answer was “he’s the good Kjellvander brother.” I stand by that. Not that Christian is bad, but… Yeah, you know.

I spoke to Gustaf a few times in that awkward way one do with people one don’t know. Out of all people who’ve done things I liked, he was the easiest to not shy back and mumble to. This was apparent on stage as well, the band had no real front person that had to be the only one in spotlight and who talked to the audience. I wish I could have seen one of his busking shows on the streets of Malmö. And now he’s dead and this feels like crap. Talented people shouldn’t die, least of all in the sleep only 31 years old.  It’s… No.  Fuck no, this is not how it’s supposed to be. The Swedish music scene is a damn lot less now. There’s a horrible void and it shouldn’t be there.

Songs Of Soil — Heather Bend. Songs of Soil was a band he had with his brother Christian.

Rough Bunnies were a Swedish lof-fi band, home recordings and odd tunes and everything else that follows. Gustaf Kjellvander — the good Kjellvander sibling — decided that he and his band The Fine Arts Showcase should do a whole album full of Rough Bunnies covers. Sure,. he knew the persons behind the songs, but never the less, it was a great idea. The songs are great and needs to be heard by more. This is the opening track of the Sings Rough Bunnies album and it’s called Balz Came And Went. Yeah, I know.

I guess I have to take responsibility for what I write in this blog, hope I don't make myself look like an ass too often.
