Not sure what it says about me, but I find the feedback and underscoring drums very hypnotic and beautiful. I can’t say soothing, because there’s too much things that haunt the songs. Well, damn, I say soothing anyway. At times. It goes in circles, further and further inwards to the centre. Reminds me of a line in Jeff Noon’s needle in the groove: “ah shit, when all the broken children learn to dance.” As much as one can dance to some of these minimal songs, but when the body can’t move the soul will.
