The Vaselines. Debaser, Stockholm.
Bonnie & Clyde. Opening act for the Vaselines. Debaser, Stockholm.
Saw Okkervil River last night at Debaser. To quote Christopher Eccleston “fantastic!” It made me happy — with the occasional sad spell — and the music… The music! This was…
It made me forget things in the headspace, briefly alas. The pause was needed. But really, I don’t care right now, I can’t care because if I do I’ll be a fucking wreak with bits of gob splattered all over. So this was great and I even think I smiled and laughed and just felt good.
It’s been a week now since I heard CALLmeKAT for the first time as the opening act for Okkervil River. During the week, it has been growing on me. Quite a lot actually. I wish I had bought her new CD. The music is very autumny.
In other news, still tired. 12 days on the road does that to you, but I would have loved to stay away even longer. The cold I got this sunday doesn’t help either. Damn it.
0117 Even cats like paper. Good creatures.
Just pimping the photo tumblr. In-case you don’t follow the flickr…
Yes, that is my hair. It gets like that.
I don’t drink that much coffee anymore. The odd cup at home and then lots of tea. Today though, it feels as if I had one cup too many. Of coffee. A stupid idea, but really, I think it might have some foundation in reality.
While the fog is great, I really want some snow.
It’s a bit too warm I think. The snow melts slowly and drips from the branches of the trees. Calatch. Calatch. I managed to avoid getting some in my head. However, as the minutes stacked up like legos and the light crept back to hide under a dark blue blanket, the dripping began to stop. So I guess it’s colder now. Again.
Still, I probably should have gotten out a bit sooner though, but then the lights wouldn’t have been on.
Frida Hyvönen in the mp3-player, terrificv music. So it was rather pleasant and nice and calming anyway.
Unmade bed. Sleeping quarters. Kind of depressing.
The White Moose, this being Mattias Hellberg and some blokes, at Kafe Deluxe. Damn good. More things later, like text and more photos. Kind of tired now.
So The White Moose, then. I Liked it quite a lot. Four people, guitar, drums, bas and organ and it was at times damn hard to stand still. (But I don’t dance.) Which sometimes interfered with the photography. Had I had a bit more money I would have bought the record on vinyl, but alas, I have to do that later.
Since I’m totally useless at selecting photos and discarding those that just have some small small flaw in a corner, I have a total of 60 uploaded shots from the gig in a set…
(And I must say, I really like the new camera. ISO 3200 on most of these and it’s still far better than the old one at 400.)
Spent a few hours drinking coffee at Gusto with Fredrik. At the beginning, there were quite a few people there but then it became less noisy. Considering the size of the place, this is a good thing. Crowds = very little room to breathe. We talked David Sedaris, photography, movies and things that possibly are illegal in at least five states — if not, they should be if you ask me (I’m not a big fan of the Wachowski Brothers, Bound being the exception).
Oh, and Neutral Milk Hotel’s In the Aeroplane Over the Sea on vinyl! Christmas is saved!
Snowing again.
