I just started playing FFIX for the first time yesterday, and I’m seriously in love with this game! I’m thinking that when I’m done, I’m going to do a write up about it and prob some comics—hell, maybe if I get ambitious, I’ll turn it into a limited run zine!
You know what this reminds me of? Tove Jansson. Can’t think of higher praise than that.

Josh Howard made some Star Trek TNG designs just because he could. I’m not a Star Trek fan myself, but I know people who are so this is for you. I think I’d watch this cartoon though if somebody made it.

Douglas Fenton’s architectural drawings blows my mind. It blows my mind! Especially this one. I’m no good at heights but I’d go live in this place in a heartbeat.

I really liked Ashley Wood’s drawings in Tank Girl The Gifting. He adapted his style somewhat but it’s still clearly him, he never tried to do it in exactly the same way as the Hewll did. I love the messy lines, and the last panel here? Fuck yes. Adjust indeed.

My first thought was “oh gosh I want these!” but then I read something that made me frown.
The posters featuring the four female members of the Serenity family will be on sale soon from Quantum Mechanix. But the fifth poster, featuring Mrs. Mal Reynolds — aka Saffron — will only be for sale at Comic-Con. So if you want the complete set, you’ll have to hustle!
Complete set? Eh, that’s not the entire crew! Not only do you have to hustle, you’re being hustled at the same time.

Couple of panels from a one paged comic I once made. Magic lamp!
Think the artist is a Finn, and the watercolours and paper textures of the work are amazing. (Traditional media is not my thing yet so I’m jealous.) Her Daviant Art page is quite amazing too, atmospheric as hell.

Architecture from Mattias Adolfsson’s Behance. Once I had these thoughts about becoming an architect. When I noticed that I wasn’t that good — let’s call it “useless” — at CAD I gave that up. Youth me was silly and stupid.
Other things on A that I’ve wanted to be:
- Archaeologist
- Astronaut
- Attorney (What I’d give to be able to give Alan Shore closings!)
- Astronomer
- Analyst (The movie “Spies Like Us” had an impact on me.)
- Artist (still there!)
