The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets - KABLAM!
My tv channel provider — Boxer — are lowbrow weasels that deserve a beating and flogging in public. They’ve pushed Discovery Science to 24-06 because of “transponder sharing.” Clearly shows about cake decorations, children’s beauty pageant glorification, and some people called Jon and Kate and their libido on display deserves 18 hours a day on TLC. I’m disgusted at humanity for the existence of all of these shows, but mostly I’m disgusted at Boxer: you oozing puss out of flaccid cheese-raked cocks.
So this is in honour of science! Yet another geek song!

We — read that as “I” — wish H.P. Lovecraft a happy 120th birthday today and we do it with this song from The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets called The Innsmouth Look.
I — spelled “we” — would have posted the song Cthulhu Fhtagn but alas, no one has recorded it.

The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets - the Math Song
I could really have picked almost any of their songs as as well, they’re kind of coloured (greenly) by that the group started out as a Call of Cthulhu roleplaying group. But I picked this one because it’s a damn catchy stoner punk song.
Y
Y equals X over 5
5 to the power of psi
psi is the square root of 3
3 is the number for me
I said
X
X by the tangent of N
N minus pi over 10
That equals negative 9
Negative 9 is so fine
You’ve got a brain
And nobody really needs another love song
Love song
(x4)
N
N is the product of v
V and the cosine of 3
Cube that and add 44
And not an integer more
Baby
V
V equals 1 through the sum
The sum of 101
And 83 over 5
What is the value of Y?
You’ve got a brain
And nobody really needs another love song
Love song
(x7)
You’ve got a brain
Yeah I heard you’ve got it
Bonus song from the past: Mekons - Hey Susan. Because retelling a thick book in under three minutes while at the same time have fun with a Beatles’ song title is to me pretty geeky.
