I got the vinyl of Versus’ On the Ones and Threes today. People who complain that there isn’t any new music that really grabs them in the heart and pulls them up into euphoria must be pretty boring. And limited in their love for music.

While I’ve had and still have favourite bands that’s been there a long time, over half my life really, there’s still new songs to fall in love with. New bands to obsess about, and new things that crushes the mind-grapes with a steady grip of awesome. Versus is not a new band for me, they’ve been gone for ten years and according to all the rules a new album shouldn’t be allowed to be this great. Because it is great and all the new songs do the mind-grape squashing. Feel it! See?

If it wasn’t for the fear of ruining the records, I’d hug the shit out of them. But no, I’ll just settle with listening over and over again.
