The headspace is a bit clearer today, a great deal clearer even. Fuck, I’m even content.

I think I great deal can be “blamed” on the Mekons. I’ve been listening — no! I listen to the two gigs they did to raise money for Doctors Without Borders in 2007. You don’t really know, but you should because they’re awesome, the two gigs made in one night where Ted Leo and Will Oldham and others filled in for Tom Greenhalgh.

Beaten and Broken with Will Oldham on vocals, I wish I had been in Chicago for that. The thing is, listening to some music is like meditating and for me the Mekons might be the thing that makes me completely calm and almost reach serenity.

One year, I will afford to travel to England when they tour there. One year, mark my words.
