Really Tumblr? Really? A web page is not a native program on any computer, to even try that is… What if your main input is a pen and not a keyboard? Or a touch screen? Being inspired by David Carson is all fine, but hiding things you don’t really care about will not help making the user interface good. Chances are it will be worse and smell of cat pee.
