Tired. Listened to a guest lecture earlier today about Swedish and European “alternative” 1 comics by Jamil Mani from C’est Bon Kultur. Interesting and I need to look into and read more anthologies.
Almost fell asleep.
Still thinking about the sketch group-tumblr even though only Gwen — thank you! — was positive enough to say anything. The more and more I think about it, the more sure I get that this is needed. In an arbitrary way loaded with different values of “needed.” I don’t want to use the submit functions, for that use eatsleepdraw. This is different. So it lives and dies with the people involved — and I’m too lazy and easily distracted to do it on my own.

1) Our grown-up comics are what in the US is published by Top Shelf or Fantagraphics. At times, it’s great, others less so in that it’s crude enough to make Rob Liefeld’s dally-doodles look good. So alternative is really the wrong word. There’s this and there’s the normal comic strippy you-know-for-kids. This is all really.
