Anna von Hausswolff fell in love with a church organ. This affects everything on the album Ceremony. The depth and the pathos in the music, fuck me. And there’s hand claps and guitars at times but the main focus are always Anna’s voice and that organ. Don’t know about you, but it hits me right in the guts. The dark atmosphere doesn’t hide anything, instead it reaches out and gives hope. Dark, haunting, and utterly beautiful music.
