There’s snow in the air and the parking lot across the street is patched with street lights. Suddenly a pair of car lights flares up, but nothing moves. Not for a few seconds which feels as minutes or hours. Then the car skids into action. It moves forward fast but not really. It just seems fast due to the stillness of everything else. It drives out from the parking lot and in the headlights across the road one can see snowflakes trying to get out of the way.

As a sequence it’s bot beautiful and unnerving depending on the context. But then again, so is staring out into the darkness through a window.
