an awkward [reality] break

Underneath the mask.

Apparently we had some sporty person come out as gay in Sweden and this counts as news and some idiots are downright appalled about the effects this might have on society and the children and why God why etc. Of course. We’re not different from any other civilisation when it comes to this — stupidity and perceived entitlement over other people’s lives are everywhere.

Anyway, it got me thinking about how to update the whole comping out to a better metaphor that doesn’t necessary sound like a crude joke as the closet does — I’ve got no clue really, but I imagine that pretending to be a different person than who you are wouldn’t be hiding as much as attempting to destroy the identity of self one chip at a time. Which lead to me getting an idea I had to draw and… Well. I know how stupid people might interpret it but I think some of you are smarter than falling into that trap and get what I want to say with this. It’s a possibility that I fucked up completely too but I hope not.
