– Dennis Lyxen regarding Refused reunion rumors (c/o Buddyhead.com) (via shelbot) Great! Both about the new band and not reforming the old. (Which I love but still… Move on is the way to go.)

Tomorrow evening I leave. This means that I’ll be absent for brief (?) periods of time until Sunday evening. I’m sure this will be adequate even though I’m a bit sceptical about the whole away from Internet really. There is this fear of breaking down, an anxiety that’s been growing. Soon it might be solid. Solid as a sock with a brick, a dusty brick that crumbles on impact...

One important thing to do in Stockholm on Thursday: find a good sketch book. Preferably non-white pages so that it’s possible to draw highlights. Forgot to look for that down here and without a Wacom-tablet it will be hard to sketch things during the weekend. (Future birthday gift suggestion: A Cintiq.)

It telling that all my nightmares lately has been of music. The last one, I’m a bit ashamed of it really, as it is quite stupid. Not the thing that normally gets passed around as nightmare Many of my friends went to see the Mekons live without telling me, I missed that they should play and then I found out that they even played at my favourite venue on a date I was out of the country. In...

This day has been spent Mupping. As in watching the the Muppets.  - Was the supposed to be poetry? - Yes, the bear’s gone from bad to verse! Seriously, the bad jokes are amazing. And wonderful.

It’s a stroke of luck that I don’t have any good paper at home. I got inspired to make a card index over comics, books, and movies — mostly since those are hard to flip trough in their natural bookshelf environment. So a card index seems both functional and archaic enough. Lots to do though, and all requires paper. Phew, dodged that bullet for now.

Quite Sketchy →
The sketch-group tumblr. Shout out if it looks like you want to be a part of it, otherwise be free to just follow. Now I’ll shut up about it before I piss you off, back to regular programme which today is about a pack of cats eating a Bison. Ok, that’s a lie. It’s me watching the new Parks and Recreation episode.

Tired. Listened to a guest lecture earlier today about Swedish and European “alternative” 1 comics by Jamil Mani from C’est Bon Kultur. Interesting and I need to look into and read more anthologies. Almost fell asleep. Still thinking about the sketch group-tumblr even though only Gwen — thank you! — was positive enough to say anything. The more and more I think about it, the...

Idle thought of the night: thinking about doing a separate sketch-tumbler. Since I know myself, I think I need to do this with a group of other people — otherwise it’ll die and as things are with digital, it will steal bits and pixels that could be used for something more worthwhile. (There must be a limit to the pixels, really. Brain can not comprehend the opposite.) Too much nice stuff...

GPOYW. A bit early but captured a part of my giggle attack when I heard a Swedish commercial for Cheerios. They pronounced it a bit odd so it sounded like “You should try these hoes!” Someone has the right morning routines obviously.

Today has been pretty eventful! As you might have seen, I’ve been trying to speed up my drawing process with only allowing myself to draw on the same sketch for the duration of a song. It works pretty well actually, and some of the self-made Sai-brushes works really well as… eh, well… But that’s not the eventful thing! It’s this. The electronic kettle — water boiling...

Things that has been deemed excellent today are mostly two things. The first in Parks and Recreation, which I’m now sadly up to speed with. This means no new episodes until later this week. There will be signs of withdrawal. April, the one sitting down in the middle in the screenshot below, is indeed amazing. The bored, unimpressed sarcasm really works for me. The other thing is even...

SALAD & CANDY: Mother's "Tiger's Milk" Cookies →
Here’s a cookie recipe that is foolproof, delicious, and chock-full of 1960s health foods: wheat germ, oats, dried apricots, protein powder. It produces glossy brown lumps that smell and taste like the sum total of all earthly baked goods. […] Reblogged because I like cookies and I need to try these out! Cookie picnic people! That needs to happen too.

re: share your relaxation tunes
tkj: Since somewhat 15 years ago I have had a calm me down song, and that song is Basket Case with Green Day. I have no idea why this song has a calming effect on my brain, but it has. If I’m stressed out or are about to get a panic attack - it acctually, sometimes, helps to start listening to Basket Case.  In my case it’s the acoustic version of Vad Har Jag Gjort with Ebba Grön....
