In the later parts of 2010, there weren’t many photographs taken. Of that, I’m a bit ashamed, I feel as if I’ve neglected parts of myself — but these are the favourites I’ve taken this year.

Best Music Year lists are just as mixtapes: they need to play well. And really, it has nothing to do with release dates.

There are a few different variations of the game, but only one is allowed to occur indoors. More about that in anon. Since it’s the last of December now here, I decided to get retrospective and say that this is one if the best posts I’ve made here. Sure, it was towards the end of 2009 and not this year but bah! Look at how ignored it is even until this day! For shame, Internet. For...

weakmeatstrongeat replied to your post: One of the answers on Three Words had this word… I answered! I answered! May I have a cookie please? Yes, you may have a cookie. Related to this, I must ask my mother where she found the recipe for gingerbread muffins. There were people — wee one and a half year-old people — who liked those more than Christmas food. realgoldteeth replied to your...

One of the answers on Three Words had this word “Snuggleupagus” and I had to google it. It didn’t give a good answer but I guess it actually has something with snuggles and I take that as a good thing. It did however suggest Snuffleupagus as a corrected spelling and I quite like that too. Sad to say, I’m not that familiar with the Sesame Street muppets — I went...

Season holidays are the time where an ugly little man comes forward. He looks just like me but is vicious and mean. Every one around have plans, they meet friends and family and do stuff. I don’t and this man belittles me. Grinding me down, relighting all the abandonment issues that I’ve more or less managed to bury during the rest of the year. I say more or less: of course the...

A Factory Discography →
This is the complete Factory catalogue. Included are the discographies for: Which isn’t really true as it lacks the few things after 2007. But still! Lost of fun with the cataloguing system! Everything had to have a number, it’s so fucking brilliant that I don’t know what. In everything there is a dentist bill, a lawsuit, aborted issues and the Hacienda house cat. FAC 191 The...

I surfed around ebay for a hat — they’re very hard to find cheap in person here, even in second hand. It’s not that I’m cheap, if I could afford an expensive one I would. But this way I could accidentally click without feeling “oh no!” That’s my favourite thing really, when that “oh no” stays away. Hope my measurements weren’t totally of so...

I shall snuggle up in the lonesome and try and feel better. (The body failed again, not the brain.) I trust you had a good Christmas Eve? (Except for Damh who airported — good you managed to get home at last.) And if you’re one of those odd “we celebrate the 25th” then I hope you’ll have a good day tomorrow. ?

There was a gift of headache. I’m not too keen on this so I plan to return it, but for now I have to sit here with it. Noodles and mushroom soup, the nectar of sick and Christmas food. Perhaps not the last, but it is what it is. Soup. In Christmas related news: when I get my new stationary computer, I’ll paint huge and I promise that in 2011 I’ll learn how to animate in after...

Sitting here with a Hibernation Ale and in the middle of season five of Dexter. Good Christmas. With all those sheets of plastic and blood splatter, it’s a wonder he doesn’t go all out and listen to David Bowie. Perhaps there’s a licencing problem. (Not the best drawing but still learning. The first version looked more as a Spanish daytime soap actor.)

There’s fucking ice blocks on the street. A bit thin, perhaps four centimetres high but the width… FUCK. People can get hurt. Like me for instance when I have to shovel them away to get to the mailbox. Their heavy and my arms, well, they’re weak. If I had been one of the cool people, I would have quoted a roleplayer goblin in the old computer game Simon the Sorcerer:...

People have been a bit nostalgic for the tumblr of old, when there were no askholes, no replies, only reblogs. Because then the focus was on the content and not the people. In a way that’s true but in another it’s not. Tumblr without the ways of means in communication is very much like a scapbook. Have you read scrapbooks made by other than yourself? They’re very boring. At best...

Not being one with lots of holiday spirit — unless you count a glass of damn fine whisky, Ardbeg Supernova 2010 — I’m grown more and more relaxed about Christmas the last few years. I’ve never had much in common with people of my family, and being a recluse means I tend to withdraw from all the commotion. One Christmas several years ago when Buffy was in it’s seventh season, I...

It’s a depressing thought considering what I do and am good at, but I think it’s true. The brain wouldn’t lie that much to itself, would it? Everybody always always go on about that cliché that “a picture says a thousand words.” The problem is that it’s only half the truth. The other part, always always forgotten, is that most of those thousand words are...

I said to myself that I would only use one song for this. One. But when Silo Song was over Little Deschutes started and then Summer Is The Champion. So instead of almost three minutes I used eleven. Listening to Laura Veirs July Flame in December, there is a logic behind it. It’s cold out, and it’s cold inside. The fingers are not frozen but the back… And that’s beneath...

dooeypig: I was thinking more along the lines of an image of Maria, her dog, and Kofi Annan on a roller coaster just as it’s starting down from its 15 mile high peak. The little extra something for Bamford insiders would be that the shirt arrives already stretched out of shape as though you’ve been wearing it into the shower with it pulled over your knees. Whether the shirt owner...
