Neck burns due to the sun, head hurts because of lack of sleep and whisky/beer. Half-way through the week. Still alive. Lots of photos, some quite good I think. Except the one with me in rubber boots — that one is very unflattering, I think.
Have had tea, cookies and thai food, in reversed order. Quite content. More later.

Phantom feet. A few years back, I used to have fuzzy slippers. Very fuzzy. I thing they had horns originally, but I cut thouse of because they looked a bit silly. Why horns since they didn’t have mouth or eyes or anything else? I loved them anyways, they made the feet warm in the winter. The weren’t made to last though. After a year they hade holes that made cold floors a bitch to walk...

There’s no other description to the feeling than loss. Not for anything important but more of a loss of direction. I’m done with the translation — just in time but still feel a bit bad about how close it was — and I’ve eaten the icecream and wanted the pancakes (curse you, Anthony Bourdain!). There’s nothing much to do right now. Both pancakeless and penless. I want to go,...
documentary:
A trailer for Carts of Darkness was posted in December ‘08. The entire film can now be viewed online. Carts of Darkness, is 59-minute documentary about homeless guys in Canada who get their thrills by gunning stolen shopping carts down steep hills.
Watch this. Captivating subject and beautifully shot.

From a beautiful post on Sweet Juniper! about feral houses.
(Found this through benhästen)
My favourite of the feral houses on Sweet Juniper! is this one:
If the inside were clean and whole and it had all the things I’d want from a house — functioning electrics, heat, water and Internet as well as not being too far away from a city — I wouldn’t mind living there.
GUESS WHO JUST LEARNED HOW TO KNIT.

That’s right, me. :D Oh, the possibilities!

It’s possible it’s some form of a tick, but whenever I go to a new website I need to see if I can find some sort of about-page or profile. At worst it’s very basic but when they’re good? I need to read most of the things the person has written afterwards. I think it’s the small useless “facts” that does it, or certain turns of phrase.
From all of the...

You can learn a lot about someone by the music they listen to. So here is the game! Hit shuffle on your ipod or mp3 player and write down the first 25 songs. No cheating.

Cookie-Eating Competition Set for August 28th
malty:
nullisnotzero:
You heard it here first, folks. I’m setting the date for the E.L. Fudge Cookie Eating Competition for August 28th, 2009 (unless nobody is going to be around, in which case it’ll just be me clearing 20 packs of these things and like 4 gallons of milk).
We’ve got some great competitors, and it’ll also be the last house party going down at my current residence, so start...
65 more annoying things to about the Web
1–63. Numbers in headlines. Christ it’s boring. 64. Dumbed down content to appear “objective” and/or pander to idiots. 65. Not enough silence when people really got nothing to write. Fuck tumblarity, fuck page ranks, fuck it all. It’s okay to take a break and figure out things or even just bum around doing nothing. Silence don’t kill.
Combinations of these are the...

I want a Death Panel
– Warren Ellis. Surprisingly, this doesn’t sound as bad as it should considering the source.

Apparently, the person who complained has now complained about me posting the email they sent me. I posted it here originally, but I’ve been told by Tumblr that I’ve got to edit the email to show only my own summary of it within 48 hours, rather than posting the whole email.
What a silly little bugger. Not that I’m surprised he’s cross about having his own words being...

Got new books and with that came the indecision. Which one to read first. This is always made a lot harder than it sounds, I wish it was only the new ones that mattered. It isn’t. All the old ones too, the ones unread, the ones to be reread, and now the new unread. Because it’s not just about one that fits the current reading mode, there are several sub-modes as well. How’s the...

Had a Zach Galifianakis-toofer. First the Hangover last night, and just now Visioneers. Both of them was really good, but I think Visioneers is the one that grows on you. It’s a long, slow introspective about dreams, why they matter and why you’ll die if you don’t do something about them. It was occasionally hilarious, creepy, painful, funny, thoughtful and odd.
The Hangover was...
