The thunder storm has passed. For a moment, it looked like some of the lightening hit something not far from here. You could feel it in the ground and hear the windows rattle witht he blinds in between them. The rain was nice though, and thunder is nice in small doses. Hours? No thanks. I get too bored. Hopefully it will stay away a bit now. So, so bored, and so much crap on the tv.

What's your book of the year?
sara1:
I’m book buying tomorrow. So name me something you couldn’t put down.
While I do agree about the awesomeness of Murakami, I’ll need to add onther book — or four. John Crowley wrote Ægypt, published as four books; [1] The Solitudes, [2] Love & Sleep, [3] Daemonomania, and [4] Endlsess Things. I’m in the midst of it myself (only on L& S), they are excellent and could...

The dark don’t phase me. House of Leaves got me a bit spooked up when I read it — I was 28 then, lived in the outskirts of the woods outside of Uppsala so lots of darkness around. I can stand for this, being spooked by a book as an adult, it was great — but the dark soon went back to normal. There are other things that makes me nervous with the night. Like sleeping. No, I like to sleep, but...

Ok, ok, I might be a too much of type-geek to enjoy and be in the demographic of fontasm.tumblr.com. Apart from no links to each post — and I really don’t want to use the buggy tumblr archive — the entry about Centaur drove me up the wall. I love Centaur, even if it is a bit weak in digital in smaller sizes. But “Centaur Italic”? For fuck sake. Centaur doesn’t have an...

We’re sharing a bill for the next few days with this adorable Danish girl named Kat that I just think is SO talented.
It’s CallMeKAT sunday here. And some icecream to that.

Even though the medications even things out and up from the the gutter, it’s not really enough*. I still got problems with doing things, most often the phase at the beginning, the one called “starting”. But I know I have to dig myself out of it.
Drawing. Haven’t done that much lately even though I’m in some kind of creative state: lyrics and soundscapes bleed out of...

It’s a bit quiet here, but that’s because I’m doing things that are not silent for nyvinter. Oh, and beware the Witches of eBay! They will make everything expensive.

go watch my new tumblelog whatineedtoremember. a collection of pictures combined with words you should remember. :)
Beautiful tumble. Really like the customizations to the theme. I almost don’t want to follow it through the dashboard — the texts and images looks so mych better there than “here”.
What’s in a nickname? Apparently, a lot. : The... →

Being informal in an e-mail isn’t so bad. After all, wouldn’t you rather receive a “Hi!” e-mail than one that begins “Salutations” or “To Whom It May Concern.” As long as the content is professional and courteous, I prefer a casual correspondence.
If someone begins with a “Salutations, great Buckaroo Banzai. I am $NAME, from Planet Ten!”,...

When I read the casting on Alice in Wonderland I should have been extatic, hopeful, other positive things but I’m not. Don’t get me wrong. Wonderful actors, but no, it doesn’t help at all. “Why is the Jabberwock there?” was my first thought. No, that’s a lie, my first thought was “fucking Tim Burton will ruin this too”. Not the most unbiased of...

RT @ShoutFactory Hey Comic-Con going Middleman fans. How about a script reading...
– From Natalie Morales’ twitter. I love comics, but Comic-Cons never really struck me as something I must go to. Too much queuing. But this, this I would have liked to see and hear. (Script readings can be like plays damnit. This is high brow stuff. MiddleMan could have been Shakespeare you...
I don’t think I’ve “celebrated” midsummer since I left Uppsala. Not that I’m much for the traditions of herring and wooden dildos with vines, but spending time with friends and just relax on a porch and share a bottle of whisky. That I miss. One could argue, quite successfully, that I did all of this last weekend. But no, it was too planed in a way, nothing to...

The weekend was deemed most excellent — except when En Björn called from the festival I couldn’t afford and held the phone so that I could hear Kim Deal sing In Heaven. Someone needs to create a way to slam down the cellphone. A beeeep! just don’t cut it.
Spent most of the day going through the photos, that always takes time becuase I’m a bit trigger happy. Flickr, which I love...

Ardbeg Supernova. Damn fine whisky. Damn fine. Seriously, and the box was damn fine too. Insane. Want more.
Haven’t slept enough I think, will probably need to catch with a snooze in the afternoon. Right now: finished the breakfast (tea and half a chickenroll) and listens to the Flaming Lips. People are awake. They woke me. It’s almost ten. TEN! What happens!

It’s hard. To open and pour some milk that is. The milk carton has this screw-on plastic cap — as opposed to the normal fold-and-open that lactose-able-people get — that’s impossible! You tip the carton and unscrew and you get some milk on the table or floor. What? Unscrew and then begin to pour it into the glass? Insane!
