Unlikley ways of dying that almost occured today Dying from napping. I woke up. Killed by bacon. Averted with the help of clothes and glasses. The weather that’s probably only about 24 C but still seems too hot. Ongoing. Procrastination. I need to pack stuff. Haven’t done shit. Stress will be the deadly killer.

allisonweiss: MoshCam.com has this whole live HD Tegan & Sara show online and it’s awesome, especially this huge long story they tell between a couple songs. Their banter is excellent and so’s the show. Hard to fail with that charm and humour and good tunes though.

So I did this thing where I put a split on the power cables inside the hull, this meaning that the drive I didn’t use could function at the same time as everything else. I should have done this ages ago, but no, today was the first time that this thought even occurred to me. While it was open I saw all this dust. My mind, stupid as it is, decided “oh, let’s clean this”. A...

“The band stayed in the Uk for a while and are about to spend some time in Wales...”
– Nobby in the Club Mekon’s mailinglist. Can’t wait. Extatic already, a bit pathetic really but it’s so fucking worth it. They tried to invent Brie in the 80s, you know.

buyhercandy: soupsoup: spiegelman: Rachel Maddow’s teabagging opus.  Possibly the most amazing thing ever broadcast on television.  And by “possibly” I mean “this is.” With special guest Ana Marie Cox.  Everything she’s done over the course of her life was preparation for this moment. I cannot contain my laughter. I blew a funny fuse, and my stomach hurts. The single most greatest...

Three things. Great music, beautiful photography of people looking like people does, and Steve Earle is really good talking to the camera. I only wish they would play some of the songs longer and less small clips. That’s nitpicking though. (Oh, and a fourth part focusing on modern folk. William Elliott Whitmore for fuck sake!)

Written about the nose
n: A funny thing about today. Or fun and fun... My nose keeps getting numb.
l: Hum .. Sounds weird ..
n: Wonder if I'm allergic to something, something that affects the nose like this?
l: Perhaps...
n: Or, it might just be that there's something wrong with me. :)
l: Perhaps :P
n: Mhm. But having something wrong seems to be more fun, so I'm going to assume that.
l: :P
[and then it diverted into something about my lack of origami skills and how everything looks like a run-over turtle]

There are do’s and don’t about this just like in everything else, my approach is a bit like the higher levels of Mr Do’s Castle. Remember that game? Higher levels look exactly the same as the one before only everything is faster. In the end, you know where things are but the speed, it makes any plan impossible. It’s only about jumping into the fray, close your eyes and hope for the best. Since...

This is odd and damning. I’ve had problems with me knees for half my life now, so I’m used to them crackle and pop and forcing me to rest at awkward moments. Now, since yesterday, I have these feet. Same feet as ever, but they hurt. I don’t know from what, no clue whatsoever. Did I step on someone? I really hope I don’t walk on hot coal in my sleep, even if that would...

Had a dream just now — I fell asleep and had a nap to gather enough strengt to manage the main sleep I guess — and it was wonderful, disturbing, silly and meta-layered. It made me realize that I need to get some sort of studio/workroom. Someplace where paint on the floor isn’t a problem and there’s room for the clumpsy overhead machine. Where I can put up thing on the walls in order to...

One of the things I immediately read after the first page of any site is the about the author. Because I want to know who wrote this, and just a name is stupid and not enough. We’re not our names and sometimes we’re not even the silly little notes we write. Dreams, passions, what makes us tick ahead, how we see ourselves. We’re not that either but it’s closer. I miss an...

If it was up to me, I’d have quite a collection of instruments. I got a recorder (misplaced), a bass guitar, an acoustic guitar (four-stringed as of now), and an harmonica (tuned to D). Somewhere in my grandmothers apartment there’s a violin. Probably. She don’t throw things away, so it is probably there. Buried under piles of crap, or in a locker hidden under the crap. But...

Eventually I found a decent texteditor based on the wiki-mentality. Wikidpad. It’s not ideal, it’s not as pretty as the VoodooPad for Mac — unfortunately, but it looks far better than the other similar programs I’ve seen to Windows. It works fine though, and I guess that’s the main thing. (Alas, if it only where pretty…)
